GIFTABLE: wrap it up

I love to package a pretty gift, although I have to admit that I often resort to wrapping with Sunday's newspaper and string. I just tell everyone that I am being green. But how cool would your gifts look with these "green" gift bows look on top of package wrapped in newsprint of plain brown craft paper?!? These bows are handcrafted from upcycled magazine pages, so each one is a little bit different. See more cool bows and order your own in the Belly Buzz shop.

ADORABLE! This year I decided to wrap all of my christmas gifts for friends and extended family, using daughter #1's extra pre-school paintings. You know the ones in bold colors on big sheets of newsprint? I've saved about 40 or so pieces of artwork for her to keep and put about 40 aside for this purpose. It's green, fun, and my house is neater for it. I mean, what would I do with 80 pictures? If nothing else, that girl is one prolific artist!

i like 'em.

i have a tendency to buy ribbon after the holidays (clearance/on sale) and make my own bows. they're ginormous and make fun hats after you open your gift.

yes. we're silly.

I love wrapping stuff in kid art too Erin!

And who doesn't love a giant bow hat? Actually, that reminds me of one of my bridal showers. They made a giant hat out of bows, made me wear it and sang some song out of a musical to me.

Love the hat with big bows! I have made them for several baby showers. In my family, we make a "bouquet" out of all the ribbons and trimmings from the bridal shower and then the bride carries it at her ceremony rehearsal.
