PERSONALLY: tattoo bill

We were at a wedding this weekend in my hometown, which was really convenient since my parents babysat Captain an Chunk while we were dancing the night away, and then allowed us and our friends crash at their house after the reception. We had alot of fun, but more about that on get wed wednesday...

There was a good size gap between the ceremony and reception, which was located in Saratoga. Coincidentally, the same city as Needlewurks, the place my heavily tattooed and pierced little brother gets all his work done. While I don't especially like some of my brother's tattoos, it is the subject matter I'm not a big fan of - the quality is really great. So I figured this would be a good place to ask about covering up the sperm on my foot. Besides, he gave me a gift certificate there for Christmas.

I finally came up with a concept that I am happy with. I combined my kids' initials with some ornaments from the glyphs pallette of Bikham script to create an abstract, swirly design. It won't cover up my existing tattoo the way I have it drawn right now, but Tattoo Bill said he could draw something similar that will work - yay! Hopefully I'll be back to get it done in the next 6 weeks or so.

By the way, his name is just Bill. But I think that if my name were Bill and I was a tattoo artist I would make everyone call me Tattoo Bill because it sounds grizzled and tough, like an old sailor. Tattoo Bill is actually really mellow though. He didn't even flinch when my very pregnant friend made a racy joke during my consultation. Although, I suppose he could have just been a little stunned that there was a very pregnant woman in a tattoo parlor at all, racy jokes aside. Hmmmm...

Racy joke? I was simply repeating what you said you wanted on your tattoo. I can't help it that your son's names begin with S&M.

Similar to "and also with you", it isn't so much WHAT you say, as HOW you say it!

Only you...

Too cool (and a very funny post). You must show pictures of your glyphy new tattoo when it's all complete!
