This week's Operation Nice assignment is to participate in the Make a Child Smile program. The website allows you to send fun packages and happy mail to kids battling chronic illnesses. We can't cure the disease, but we can certainly send a little something to brighten their day while they are stuck in a hospital bed. Captain, Chunk and I are going to work on this together over the next week. We chose a boy near their age so that they might be able to relate a little bit easier, and we are going to choose some little toys, make some art and maybe a cd of their favorite music to send. I'll take pictures of our process and update everyone next week.

Such a great idea! I love hearing when people teach their children what giving means.
